It’s hilarious to see this because my wife introduced our oldest daughter to Manchu Ramen…maybe Top Ramen, about a week ago and she’s had to make sure she doesn’t gorge herself on it. 🤣
I have no idea why, but I've always enjoyed ramen, and I've never had the good stuff.
So, you've inspired me, next trip to the grocery I'll look around for some Shin. I think I'll have to skip your slice of American Cheese on top though!
Top Ramen, with American Cheese on top! With all that sodium, preservatives, and of course, the plastic cheese, that's an all-around solid American diet!!! Almost beats the 7-Eleven!
Obviously your mother did not beat you enough when you were a child. Had she, you would know that nothing in this world can come close to the 1/4 Lb. Big Bite Hot Dog at 7-Eleven!
I was about ready to say there are no 7-Elevens between Tumwater and Ridgefield, which is true now, but it wasn't true back in the day. There was indeed at least one 7-Eleven in Centralia back in the 1980's. And sure enough, I never stepped foot in the place.
Or we WERE. The 7-Elevens were bought out and taken over by independent owners; I think one of them was called Rocky's. I'll have to ask my classmates.
You know that convenience store a block from the library, in the direction of the Gather Church? I think that was a 7-Eleven at one time.
Well, civilizations do collapse. Just look at ancient Rome. I guess now our little city is in its own dark ages. Maybe someday the Big Bite will return, and we'll get to have a renaissance.

Cheese is what binds together the universe.
Bailey learned, long ago, to avoid everything that comes out of the south end of a north bound cow.
WHAT???

Having moved here from a town with two 7-Elevens, I was heartbroken.
Alas, it simply goes to show that we aren't yet civilized here.
